Apple Mail is likely one of the apps you spend a great deal of time using. While Mail is easy to use with most commands available from the menus, there are times when you can increase your productivity by using keyboard shortcuts to speed things up a bit. If you're not familiar with the shortcut symbols, you'll find a complete list that explains them in the Mac Keyboard Modifier Symbols article.

These keyboard shortcuts apply to Mail version 12.x through 8.x, but most work in earlier versions of Mail.

Create Custom Keyboard Shortcuts

Not every menu item in Mail has a keyboard shortcut assigned to it. Perhaps you use the Export to PDF command under the File menu a great deal, or you often use Save Attachments (also under the File menu). Moving your cursor to find these menu items can be irksome, especially when you're doing it all day, every day. Instead of using the mouse for these tasks, add keyboard shortcuts for any menu item on Your Mac.
